If your child won’t leave the couch for anything—not even for a delicious kugel—because they’re too busy conquering Torah Live games, then this article is for YOU!

We’re here to help you restore a little balance to their screen time. Let’s dive in!

Torah Live is proud to announce an all new feature:

Time restriction for games!!!

NOTE: This feature is available for Value users only. You can upgrade your membership here.

How to Find the Time Restriction Setting:

  1. Log into your Torah Live account.

  2. Click on your Avatar (top right) and then click on "Settings":

3. Click on "Preferences"

How to Configure the Time Restrictions:

You can configure:

  • How many minutes of game play does the student or child get per videos OR days.

  • You can choose either per videos or per days, not both.

When choosing per a number of videos:

The child gets however many minutes you chose for every number of videos they've watched.

When choosing per a number of days:

The child or student gets however many minutes of play time in the last x number of days you've chosen.

It’s important to note that the number of videos watched starts counting from the moment you configured or updated this setting. Any videos the child or student watched before this update won’t be included in their playtime bank.

Who is effected by this setting?

The time restrictions on the games will apply only to family members or students, not to your personal account.

How does this stop my students/kids from playing?

While they’re having fun in the game, we keep an eye on the clock⏲. When their time’s up⌛, we pull the plug and show a message saying something like, “Game over, champ!” and suggest they take a break, catch up on some educational videos, or return when they’re ready for round two. And don’t worry, we won’t leave them in the dark—we give a 5-minute warning so they’re not blindsided like a surprise plot twist in a movie!

This is a BETA feature, and we’d love to hear your feedback, so feel free to message us at team@torahlive.com!
