Our current policy requires parental permission for students under the age of 16 to join a class.

However, we are fully aware that getting parents to confirm emails from the teacher is not always a quick process. Therefore we have a secret work-around that only you (and anyone else reading this😉) will know about.

Change Email Address Per Student

To bypass this parental involvement, you can enter your own email address instead of the student's parent on the invite screen. Please note that you will need to add a "+" and a number to your email address before the "@" sign, as you cannot use the same email address multiple times. For example:

Accept Invite

Next, you will receive an email for each invite with a link to continue the process:

Create Student Account

Clicking on the link will prompt you to enter the student's email address and birth year. Please make sure to enter the correct email address for the student:

Activate Student Account

Once this is completed, the student will receive an email to activate their account. The email will look like this:

If your student already has a Torah Live account, they'll receive this email instead, with a link to confirm the invite and join your class.

Your student must open the link while signed in to their own account. It won't work if opened while signed in as the teacher.

That's it, happy learning✨
