Set up your school

Your first day as school admin: the tour, your profile, your teachers, and how to read your Dashboard.

Written by Meir

Welcome to Torah Live! You're already on your Teachers list, so you can watch everything right away. These steps get your teachers teaching.

Your first day

  1. On your Dashboard, click Play the tour for a quick walkthrough with Rabbi Dan Roth.

  2. Add your school's name and logo. Click your school's name at the top of the sidebar, then School settings.

School menu open with School settings highlighted
  3. Check your School name, click Upload logo (PNG, JPG, or WebP, up to 5 MB), and fill in Country, City, and State. Click Save changes.

  4. Invite your teachers, one email each. Add as many as you like.

  5. Ask your teachers to set up their classes.

No logo yet? Your portal shows your school's initials. Contact email and Phone come from your own account settings.

Want a family to cover the year? Invite a sponsor.

You're a teacher too

When you buy the School plan, or buy it again after it ends, we add you to your Teachers list. You get every video, transcript, and teaching kit file.

Already pay for your own Family or Educator plan? You keep it, and we don't add you. Don't teach? Click Remove teacher on your own row, and you keep running the portal. To come back, invite your own email like any teacher.

Read your Dashboard

Your Dashboard shows how your whole school learns, on one screen:

  • Active teachers: teachers who joined, with pending invites underneath.

  • Classes: classes run by your current teachers.

  • Students: students who joined those classes.

  • Student activity: quizzes finished in the last 30 days and the average score, counting each student's best try.

Click any summary to open the page behind it. The watch time chart shows your school's hours each week. Pick 30 days, 90 days, or 12 months, and point at a week to see its total. It counts course videos for your current teachers, so removing a teacher changes past totals too.

"For your school" is your to-do list. Each suggestion disappears once it's done:

  • Add a few details to your school profile: click Finish your profile.

  • Help a teacher start their first video: click See your teachers.

  • We've got videos for this Hebrew month: click See this month's videos.

  • A new course just came out: click Watch it.

  • Offer one family the chance to sponsor your school's year: click Invite a sponsor.

Try a five-minute weekly habit: open your Dashboard, do the top suggestion, and share any rise in watch time with your teachers. Hatzlacha!
