How do I get started as an educator?

Set up your class, add students by class code or email, approve them, and follow your school's ranking.

Welcome to Torah Live! We're excited to join you and your students on this journey. Let's get your class set up.

Summary: there are two ways to add students.

Option 1: Email invite

  1. You enter each student's name and email address.

  2. They get an email invite (subject: "Come inside: the door is open 👉đŸšȘ") and activate their account.

Option 2: Class code

  1. You share your class code or link with students.

  2. They sign up at torahlive.com/join with their name and email address.

  3. You approve them from your dashboard within one week, or they're removed from the class. They can watch in the meantime.

Set up your educator account

  1. Signed up for the Educator plan? Your account is already set to Educator. If not, open the Me tab on your dashboard and choose Educator.

  2. Click Set up your class.

Create your class

  1. Give your class a name.

  2. Pick the topics you want your students enrolled in.

Important: Students only get access to the courses you enroll them in.

Add your students

Now it's time to add your students!

There are two ways to add students:

  • Share a class code

  • Send an email invitation

Note: Setting up a class and inviting students comes with the Educator plan. You can add up to 24 students.

Send email invitations

You can invite students in two ways:

  • One by one, or

  • Upload a CSV file (up to 24 students).

Your invited students then show up on your dashboard.

Use the class code

You can also send your students a class code to join.

  • Once a student joins with the code, they can watch videos and use the platform right away.

  • Their account stays restricted until you approve them as part of your class. For example, they can't upload a challenge submission yet.

Important: Approve each student within one week. After that, the invitation expires and they won't be added to your class.

You can approve or reject students right from the Class View.

Check the leaderboard

To see your school's global ranking, click All next to My Classes.

As your students learn and earn points, they boost your school's spot on the leaderboard.
